Take a seat, people. This might take a while. It’s about the much credible Censor Board that governs what’s fit for us Indians to watch and what’s against our sanskars. Pahlaj Nihalani leads the show, of course.

Ever since ‘Befikre’ got out of the CBFC headquarters with zero cuts and a U/A certificate, there have been questions. Some very legit questions. Just in case it isn’t obvious enough, ‘Befikre’ is probably the boldest Yash Raj Film ever with 23 on-screen kisses. The trailer has Ranveer Singh and Vaani Kapoor painting the town red with their PDA. The posters are designed around their kisses FFS!
    © YRF
A quick recap. Last November, there was an uproar because the very same CBFC cut a kissing scene from ‘Spectre’ because it was too vulgar for the Indian audience.
    © YouTube
Earlier this year, Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone’s kiss was chopped off from 'Tamasha'.
    © Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment
Very recently, there were reports that even Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s intimate scenes from 'Ae Dil Hai Mushkil' has been chopped off because of the same reason.
    © DharmaProductions
So when ‘Befikre’ got a U/A certificate, DNA stepped up on behalf of the rest of the media and addressed the elephant in the room. Journalist and film critic Subhash K Jha demanded a justification for this bizarre decision that goes against the standards CBFC has set for itself and we cannot believe Pahlaj Nihalani actually gave this WTF explanation.
    © YRF
“Firstly, there is a difference in the intention and purpose of the kisses in 'Befikre' and the ones you mention in the earlier films ('Tamasha', 'Ae Dil Hai Mushkil'). Those earlier kisses were very intimate and sexual in nature, and also shot in lingering close-ups. In 'Befikre', the kisses are used as signs of affection, warmth and kinship. And they are not shot in close-ups. That makes a helluva difference in terms of impact.” Pahlaj Nihalani said.
So, let me get this right, Mr. Nahalani. This is intimate and sexual…

    And this obviously isn’t?

    Or is this more ‘lingering’

    Than this?

So, you mean, a young man (Ranveer Singh) and a young woman (Vaani Kapoor) meeting in a foreign country and deciding to have NSA fun is warm and affectionate enough to be shown to adults and kids alike…

But a young man (Ranbir Kapoor) and a young woman (Deepika Padukone) meeting in a foreign country and deciding to have NSA fun isn’t?

    Ah, I see.
“I feel Befikre reflects a global attitude to public affection. Aditya Chopra has made a film that will appeal to young people all across the world regardless of creed, class, culture, colour and race. In that sense, 'Befikre' is not reflective of Indian values per se. It’s not a mirror of the Indian middle-class sanskaar. It’s more about how the young, even young Indians, behave when they are abroad and are brought up with different values.” Pahlaj Nihalani went on to insult our bullshit-detectors.
Right. So, ‘Befikre’ is about how young people behave abroad and that’s why it is acceptable to show them kiss. Wonder what Imtiaz Ali did wrong with ‘Tamasha’? Maybe he should have based his movie outside India. Like…maybe, Corsica?

Come on now, that’s fair. Because Indians kiss without lips touching.
“See, in India kissing in public is still taboo. But in Paris it’s openly done. It’s an accepted form of affection not just for couples in love but also a form of greeting between two friends when they meet .We can’t apply our own cultural rules to people outside.” Stop Pahlaj, PLEASE!
So wait…the ‘Spectre’ kiss was banned because it showed Indian people kissing in India?

It all makes so much sense. Pahlaj Nahalani, what would Indian cinema do without you.

A tailored bandhgala jacket is a great choice for grooms who hate the idea of shopping and trying on options. Whether you are pairing it with Jodhpurs or opting for a decadent look—a bandhgala can be styled up or down. Over the years, Indian designers such as Raghavendra Rathore and Shantanu & Nikhil have created some impeccably tailored bandhgalas. And it seems like a go-to option for some of Bollywood's most stylish actors like Ranveer Singh, Ayushmann Khurrana, Sushant Singh Rajput etc.
Here are some straight-from-the-runway ideas to give you enough inspiration on how to have fun with bandhgala jackets:

The nation’s ‘Iron Lady’ and Tamil Nadu’s ‘Amma’, J Jayalalithaa, took her last breath on December 5 and the whole nation mourned her death. Many people, including celebrities and political leaders came forward to pay their condolences, there was one tribute that won Internet’s heart – from the Amul Girl herself. The Amul Girl ad shows a grayscale caricature where the girl stands, holding Jayalalithaa’s photo with tears in her eyes and the headline reads ‘Leader of Ammasses.…’
    © Amul
Although Amul is primarily one of India’s leading dairy products manufacturing brands introduced by Dr. Verghese Kurien, the Amul Girl has managed to carve a niche for herself with her witty comments and one-liners on both national and international affairs. Be it about the historic feat of PV Sindhu and Sakshi Malik, or mourning the death of Fidel Castro; the Amul Girl ads always have the apt interpretation for everything. However, this is not the first time that an Amul ad was created for Jayalalithaa.
Remembering Amma, here are some of the brilliant Amul Girl ads that touched base with issues like her winning the elections, her interactions or warning to the centre, the Cauvery water issue and the time when she was jailed.  Let’s all take a walk down memory lane, shall we?

Pebble was one of the most revered smartwatch manufacturers in recent time and the company is now officially dead. There were rumours floating that rival company Fitbit was buying out the company and it seems like the same has come true. However, Pebble later confirmed that Fitbit is only acquiring ‘Key Pebble assets’ and Pebble will also no longer function as an autonomous organisation.
    © YouTube
Fitbit is only purchasing Pebble’s intellectual property, testers and software engineers. Other staff members including designers will be laid off and all other products that are currently in the market is expected to be sold to pay for their impending debt.
    © BCCL
The matter of fact remains that Pebble posted a very heart-warming and happy note on their Kickstarter page but the same loyal customers are royally screwed.
“One-to-one Pebble support is no longer available” and “any Pebble currently out in the wild is no longer covered by or eligible for warranty exchange.” This means that if you currently own a Pebble watch you are left alone to deal with any shortcomings that may arise. If you watch dies on you, it’s dead.

They won’t even repair it. Whatever warranty you were promised by Pebble, it is now fully voided. There won’t be any software support and you may return the watch if you bought it via Amazon for a refund but that will cause you even more inconvenience. The situation will remain the same even when Fitbit has fully acquired all assets.
Pebble has promised that if you backed their latest Kickstarter campaign, they will start issuing refunds which is a consolation for customers. The refunds will take place via the Kickstarter ecosystem and won’t be completed before March 2017.

Virender Sehwag and Sachin Tendulkar were arguably one of the most destructive opening pairs in their era. The two batting maestros opened for India in 93 innings between 2002 to 2012.
Together, Sehwag and Tendulkar have also been involved in 12 hundred-run partnerships and 18 fifty-run stands. With a highest opening stand of 182 runs in ODI cricket, the two players complemented each other with their distinctive batting styles.
    © BCCL
While Sehwag trusted his instincts more than technique, Tendulkar was just marvellous at doing what he does best. Though the Master Blaster didn't need anyone else's advice on how to bat, a mid-game battle with former England spinner Ashley Giles got Tendulkar worked up.
During a Test match between India and England, Tendulkar and Sehwag were facing the spin bowling attack of Giles. While Sehwag was able to use his feet to counter the variations of the England spinner, Tendulkar was mostly padding.
    © BCCL
After a few overs, Sehwag went up to Tendulkar and advised him to step out and charge against the England spinner to play his shots. Since, there was no turn on offer from the pitch; the advice seemed to make sense. But, what actually unfolded later is something Sehwag would really want to forget.
Convinced by Sehwag, Tendulkar decided to step out of his crease against Giles only to get stumped. Unfortunately for Tendulkar, the only ball that turned was the one on which he stepped out of the crease.
    © BCCL
“I was stepping out and easily hitting my shots. He was mostly padding. I said there is no spin, you can charge and play. It took me 2-3 overs to convince him. The only ball that turned was the one on which he stepped out of crease and was stumped," Sehwag recalled the incident during a session at 'Agenda Aaj Tak'.
"I did not go back to dressing room that day at tea break. I sat in umpires’ room. I was called in later. Tendulkar said only once in my career I have got out stumped in Test cricket and that’s because of you,” Viru revealed.

You remember your childhood days of DuckTales, with the adorable Scrooge McDuck travelling the world, one adventure at a time? How often do you go down memory lane, half wishing that the DuckTales were still a thing in today? Every once in a while? Thought so.

The show that revolves around Scrooge McDuck, his nephew, Donald and his equally adorable nephews—Huey, Dewie and Louie, will see the return of the original characters, along with regulars like Launchpad McQuack, the pilot, Webbigail Vanderquack, Magica DeSpell, butler Duckworth, Glomgold, as well as the Beagle Boys.
While the show will be more digitally animated, to be in sync with modern times, the characters will remain their hand-drawn selves, keeping the originality intact.
The first season is set to have 21 half-hour episodes and two one-hour specials.
In short, we’re all set to have the time of our lives, all over again!

Katrina Kaif, one of the biggest names in the industry right now has left everyone applauding with a powerful speech about women and the hardships they go through. She was invited to the WeUnite conference recently and she took the opportunity to walk up to the stage, grab the mic and address the elephant in the room.

Evils often brushed under the carpet, domestic violence and marital rape are more common than you can even imagine. Sexism is real and there couldn’t be a more desperate time for feminism. Katrina Kaif addressed the women of India and spoke about how they need to put their foot down and stand up for their own rights. She even went on to state some startling facts about marital rape and gender inequality and it puts into perspective, how cruel the world is to women.
“I would urge more women to speak up. It is not okay to feel inferior or weak, because we are not the weaker *** by any stretch of imagination. On a daily basis there are shocking stories about the violent crimes made against women. Yet, I can only imagine how many other crimes against women in India go unreported.” Katrina Kaif said.

'50 Shades Of Grey', the carnal, kinky book which wooed so many women all over the world made bigger waves when it was turned into a big budget movie. The first instalment in the series did introduce some kink, but was met with mixed reactions for being way too tame!

The second instalment, ‘50 Shades Darker’ was anticipated to be a better  movie. While the first trailer did leave the fans excited, it is the second trailer that is oozing some real sexual energy. It finally gives viewers what it promised, some steamy and erotic romance between Anastasia and Mr. Christian Grey. Oh, and the classic elevator scene is back, but with a wonderful twist.  Her expressions tell us all we need to know.

And the hot shower scene, again? It looks more natural and the chemistry between the two finally looks to be real fiery.

The movie is scheduled for a Valentines Day release and stars Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson in the lead roles. The movie is based on the best-selling book series by E.L James.

The Supreme Court of the United States Of America overturned Apple’s claim that Samsung has been copying their patents. Apple had previously won the case in 2012, as they convince the courts that Samsung had copied many of the iPhone’s features and infringed design patents. Their biggest claim was that the rectangular device copied their signature rounded corners and boxes and the fact that some Samsung phones had copied the home screen too.
However, the courts reversed the decision, which means that the case will now be returned to the Federal circuit where damages will be reassessed.  The judgment that was passed is a little complicated and it hinges on how the damages will be calculated. Apple won $400 million in damages, which was based on the profit Samsung made on that particular phone.
Samsung argued in courts that the damages should not be based on the entire profits since only part of the design was copied from Apple. In agreement with Samsung, the courts overturned the decision and decided that the damages would be calculated this way.

Associate Justice Sonia Sotomayor passed a judgement where she said that the damages will be calculated based on the entire profit of the infringing product or based on part of the profits. Neither Samsung nor Apple briefed the Supreme Court and the case is now being sent back to the federal circuit for further interpretation. The only thing we can gather from all of this is that patent wars can never end.

About a month or so ago, I had been in a very bad frame of mind, for a lot of reasons—all of which were personal. Now, I’m not much of a talker; but, I’ll give you a gist of it—simply because it is essential to this story and to establish a point.
Relationship dissatisfaction, betrayal of trust, familial tragedies, loss of loved people, mental and physical health issues, combined with stress and a whole lot of other stuff you probably don’t want to wrap your head around. It all comes to you as a strong independent person who is only too used to fending for his/her self to the point where you don’t know how to let people in. Do you know how messed up that is? To need help but not be able to ask for it?
And one of the main reasons as to why I’ve never been able to seek help from the people around me, or talk about what’s been bothering me is because no one ever fucking gets it! For most people my age, or even slightly older, the core issues worrying their entire existence revolves around the following things:
    - Whether or not I should ask someone out because I’m secretly interested in someone else.
    - My phone just died on me and my life is falling to pieces.
    - People on social media don’t understand what I’m going through and they’re not liking my status.
    - I have a party to plan and I haven’t done a thing.
    - I don’t have enough cash to buy those new speakers.
    - She likes another guy; not me.
    - I’m gaining weight because I ate a frigging salad.
    - He didn’t stand up for me when I wanted a seat in the metro.
    - I’m driving to work and I get traffic every single day.
    - I have to work on Saturdays too.
    - My colleagues hate me.
    - I can’t find someone to be in a relationship with
Do these seem trivial to you? Ideally, they should.
But, I’m seriously not kidding when I tell you that for at least 60% of the population, these are real fucking problems!
    THAT’S what’s so messed up!
    © Pexels
So, obviously, when someone asks you what’s wrong and you say something like, I’m having a bad day, they just assume it’s about some girl who just upset your mood, or because you have to sulk in front of colleagues you don’t like every day.
    Guess what?
Sometimes, people are actually dying; even if it’s just from inside. Sometimes, people are falling apart utterly and completely and they can’t do anything about it because they honestly don’t know how to. Sometimes, people are losing their faith in love and humanity. Sometimes, families are falling apart and finances are affecting people’s ways of life. Most people who are your and my age won’t get it because they’re oblivious to most of these problems. They understand relationship drama, peer pressure, the fear of missing out—those are their problems. They don’t understand the importance and the value of life, spending time with the people who matter most because they simply don’t get it. They never know the loss of a loved one, or the earnest love you provide to an animal who becomes your best friend and then, one day, leaves you without a friend.
Ask them what it means to spend a festival alone, without family and they’ll either not know what that’s all about, or they’ll tell you about that one time they spent New Year’s Eve in Thailand because they didn’t want family around.
    © Pexels
Ask them about the relationship they share with their parents and they’ll probably tell you about the new car they were gifted; not the last time, they dined together as a family, watching lousy TV together.
They don’t get it. They are living on Earth; but their feet are so off the ground, they probably don’t remember the last time they bit the dust. They’ll talk about the latest game, or the latest club that’s opening. They won’t talk about the loss of life, the hurt of broken promises, of divorces and separations and of being alone in a world full of squads.
People like you and me, are no longer people like you and me. They’re in a bubble and you’re outside of it. In the bubble, nothing significantly life-altering affects them; they’re immune to it. In the bubble, the world outside seems glossed over by the shine of the vision through which it is being observed. That’s why they are not like you and me.
They don’t understand the meaning of struggles, difficulties and problems; they understand inconveniences… which they term as “issues”. And that’s the issue with them.

Reports say that Mira Rajput left the entire crew of ‘Koffee With Karan’ impressed with her confidence and charm. Given that she’s not from the same industry, Karan was amazed at her poise and demeanor.
Mira revealed how the two actually met and decided they wanted to end up together. "Back then, she didn't know why she was meeting them. Mira wasn't interested in Bollywood and only met Shahid a few days later. When an arranged marriage was broached, they were awkward," revealed a unit from the sets of the show.
Mira and Shahid spent 7 hours together on their first official date and at the end of it, wanted to meet again. Shahid Kapoor did address the elephant in the room when he asked her 'Do you mind being married to a man 13 years older to you?' 'Do you mind being married to a girl 13 years younger?' was her reply. That’s how she won Shahid over with her confidence!
"Karan was taken in by her confidence and during the break, he complimented her for her frankness. A couple of her answers even made the crew break into applause," a source revealed.
The show will be aired the next weekend, after Salman, Sohail and Arbaaz have appeared this weekend!

Information Is Beautiful just released this fascinating (read: questionable) new world map—that pinpoints what different countries in the world are best at—that relies on stats gathered from credible sources like UN, Reuters, NYTimes, CIA, Guinness World Records etc. These findings that range from purely baffling to completely bizarre to ABSOLUTELY mind-boggling, declares Pakistan as number 1 in gay pornography, South Africa as the leader in death, USA the topper in spam emails, China the leader in jailed journalists and so forth.

Take a look at the controversial map below and in HD here:

The sad demise of Jayalalitha has shocked the nation and the situation down South is worse. Her followers have been mourning her death and the state has come to a halt. People scaled walls, shed tears, fainted and exhausted themselves while they missed their beloved ‘Amma’.

The authorities had to be on their toes to keep the peace and security and check, and the strong vigilance required a lot of effort from the police force. The police had to deploy extra personnel to keep the law and order situation under check. Amidst this critical period, there is one kind gesture that is winning hearts on the internet. The canteen at the Chennai branch office of the national daily ‘The Hindu’ provided free refreshments to the police officers who were on duty. The picture was shared by an employee of the newspaper.

In times like these, where everyone is tied up between duty and emotions, a kind gesture like this is the perfect example of showing gratitude and serving humanity.

A rock band from Lebanon, The Wanton Bishops consist of Nader Mansour on vocals, guitar, harmonica, and keyboards and Eddy Ghossein on guitar, backing vocals, and banjo. Formed in 2011, the band was part of the second wave of popular garage rock revival and are still regarded as one of the leading bands in the Middle East.

They released their first EP ‘Bad Rhyme’ in 2012 and the music perfectly reflected the blues rock sound that brought these two artists together in the first place. The duo became an underground sensation due to their regular touring and a viral presence on social media, media appearances, and extensive licensing of their songs. Soon they became global and started playing at international tour dates.

Towards the end of 2012, they added four more tracks to their EP and released a full fledged album called ‘Sleep with the Lights On’. Along with earning them additional tour dates, this album got the a lot of critical acclaim with The Turkish press even calling them "the best band you've never heard of".

The Wanton Bishops have stated that their music is about seduction and surrender, heart and stomp, which surely explains their viral success.

National treasure a.k.a. Bhai a.k.a Salman Khan is the king of controversial quotes—especially when it comes to his 'Koffee With Karan' appearances. We are honestly still not over the ‘I’m a virgin’ quote from last season, and apparently, nothing much has changed about his *** life since. The 'Dabbang' star—who is slated to appear in the upcoming episode of 'Koffee With Karan' (with brothers Arbaaz and Sohail)—addresses his and KJO’s virginity, wanting more options while ranking top A-list actresses and hooking up with fellow national treasure, Rakhi Sawant.

True talent always finds its way through. Luck may not always be on your side and you may not always make it big in the career of your choice, you might not even get a proper job to earn a livelihood but there’s never a reason good enough to stop you from doing what you really love in life. Take for example, this security guard from Kolkata who’s currently becoming the internet’s latest favourite because he happens to be a fantastic singer too!
Adarsh Singh posted some videos of him on Facebook and they’ve got more than half a million views already!

Check this one out too. It’s even better!

Alastair Cook is one of the greatest openers of all time for England and similarly, James Anderson has been a workhorse for English team over the last decade. This, however, means nothing when it comes to competing in a game of darts professionally. Take a look at this Cook vs Anderson dart game and decide for yourself who is worse at it. Seemingly, Anderson can’t throw a straight dart twice.

You can fight with humans who pass racist comments, but can you fight a robot? No matter how weird it sounds, the passport of Richard Lee, a New Zealand man of Asian origin, was rejected after the facial recognition software mistook his eyes as being closed and registered the same. Like seriously, this is possibly the worst thing that can happen to anyone and for god’s sake, his eyes aren’t even closed. To be honest, we can’t even blame anyone for being racist, it’s a f**king machine.
    © Twitter
Richard is a 22-year-old engineering student who submitted his picture to an online passport photo checker, run by New Zealand’s Internal Affairs department, to renew his passport. The system registered the photo as invalid because apparently, his eyes were closed.
Richard spoke to Reuters about this incident, “No hard feelings on my part, I’ve always had very small eyes and facial recognition technology is relatively new and unsophisticated.” “It was a robot, no hard feelings. I got my passport renewed in the end.” We wonder whether he would have had the same response had a photographer clicked his photograph and passed that remark.
    © Twitter
In an attempt to cover up the issue, an Internal Affairs spokesman said, “Up to 20% of passport photos submitted online are rejected for various reasons.” He further added, “The most common error is a subject’s eyes being closed and that was the generic error message sent in this case.”
No matter how many justifications are made, there is no way we can get over this fact. So what’s next, use a magnifying glass to double check if the eyes of Asian people are open or not?
