Bollywood sucks at two things: making good horror movies and making better sequels of a successful film.
While we agree that nothing ever seems to beat the original, no matter how good it is, there have been some sequels to a good movie that were rather decent, if not better than the OG.

Creating a second part to a masterpiece puts a certain pressure on filmmakers to match up to the level and expectations of the audience, and most have failed terribly.
However, there have been some who actually pulled it off quite well.

Here are 7 such Bollywood sequels that lived up to the hype and made fans flock to watch them just as enthusiastically as the first movie:
The sequel to Tanu Weds Manu was actually better IMO.
It was funnier, quirkier and more offbeat than the basic love triangle in the first part. It definitely didn’t disappoint.
2. Dhoom 2The Dhoom series totally lost its touch in their third instalment which starred Aamir Khan.
However, the second one still remains the most cunning and brilliant one of the franchise.
3. KrrishKrrish was the perfect sequel to Koi Mil Gaya with a completely different plotline yet the same.
Plus, India got its first-ever superhero in Krrish, courtesy of superpowers given by Jaadu.
4. Lage Raho Munna Bhai
This movie has a unique concept just like its prequel Munna Bhai M.B.B.S that Bollywood makes once in a blue moon.
Both films had great comedy, subtle messages and won the hearts of the audience.
5. Phir Hera PheriSure, Hera Pheri is a classic comedy and we knew that the sequel won’t be as good even before its release.
However, it was pretty good and tickled us to tears. The dialogues are still perfect meme material.
6. Sarkar RajBoth parts of the Sarkar series had tremendous star power and Sarkar Raj managed to keep the depth and drama of the political flick alive.
It was followed by a bad sequel, Sarkar 3, though.
7. Angrezi MediumIrrfan Khan’s last film in his cinematic trajectory didn’t disappoint fans.
Although Hindi Medium was much entertaining and simple, this one sure matched up to it. Deepak Dobiryal was a bonus.
