Jaydev Unadkat Was Bashed Heavily For Sharing His Own Highlights & He Ran Out Of Patience

When it comes to Jaydev Unadkat, the fans of Indian cricket have always looked at him with sympathy for not being able to become a more prominent member of the senior Men in Blue squad.ย

Despite leading the U-19 team during the 2010 World Cup and being a regularly seen player in the Indian Premier league, the ambidextrous all-rounder has only managed to play in 1 Test, 7 ODIs and 10 T20Is. Furthermore, the last time he was with the Indian side, was back in 2018.

Coming off a forgettable IPL season with Rajasthan Royals, the 30-year old is finally having a much-awaited Syed Mushtaq Ali tournament in which he has already picked up nine wickets in five matches with a brilliant average of 14.66.

Always the one to enjoy the spoils of his victory, Unadkat has been recently sharing some video highlights of his batting and bowling performances during the domestic cricket tournament and adding certain eyebrow-rising captions while uploading these videos from his Twitter account.

Eventually, certain people on the micro-blogging website started feeling as if Unadkat was trying to send cryptic messages to the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), taunting them for not considering him for the new squads that were announced ahead of the T20I and Test series against New Zealand on home turf.

Bhai ye sab dkhake kya proof kar rahe hai ..sab ne dkha hai har baar international players aur ipl mein kitni pitai hti hai bhai apki aur kafi chance diya hai apko .. Rajasthan ne itne chance diye har saal par apka performance poor raha hai ..

Sab BCCI Selectors ko troll karte hai

Pace? Bhai you bowl only cutters which are faster than only Ravindra Jadeja's arm ball.

Pehle bowling karna seekh le...RR to 2 baar 8 -8 crore ka chuna laga chuka hai

Although, the Saurashtra skipper ignored the comments and criticism initially, he eventually ran out of patiences and decided to respond to the unnecessary bashing. Once again, he hopped on Twitter and let the critics hear an earful.

โ€œBy the means of uploading videos of what I was able to do in a recent domestic series (cos it isnโ€™t telecasted), doesnโ€™t mean I am taking a jibe at anyone or any player in anyway. I took pride in what I did for my team. I am happy. I showed off. (donโ€™t we all love to do that?),โ€ Unadkat tweeted.

โ€œShouldnโ€™t we take things in a positive way & have mutual respect for everyone whoโ€™s reached this level in the sport? Typing a tweet can be easy, but reaching an elite level in a sport, in a country of a billion, is not!โ€ he further added in the same Twitter thread.

It didnโ€™t take long for his fans and followers to get behind him:

Please keep doing this. If someone misunderstands you, let them.

But by all means do. Please. I know that many of us want them.
