Twilight stars Robert Pattinson & Kristen Stewart, who played the lead roles of Edward and Bella respectively, shared sensational onscreen chemistry in the film series which made fans fall in love with both of them. Initially, both of them were very shy but had to indulge in a steamy kiss for the 'Twilight' audition during which Pattison even fell off the bed. Yes, you read that right! 

Twilight director Catherine Hardwicke revealed the same on The Big Hit Show (podcast) and spoke about how the audition got her worried as it involved a hot kissing scene.  

While talking about Robert and Kristen's audition, she said, "I could tell they had a lot of chemistry, and I’m like, ‘Oh my God.’ I thought, Kristen was 17. I don’t want to get in some illegal things. So I remember I told Rob, ‘By the way, Kristen is 17. In our country, it’s illegal to have a sexual… “And he’s like, “Oh, OK, whatever'." 

"Rob and Kristen auditioned on my bed, the k*ssing scene, Rob was so into it he fell off the bed. I’m like, “Dude, calm down.” And I’m in there filming with my little video camera, whatever. And at the end [of the audition] Kristen was like, “It has to be Rob,” Hardwicke further shared on the podcast.

For the unversed, Robert and Kristen fell for each other while working on the Twilight series. Reportedly, they dated each other for nearly four years, from 2009 to 2012. According to various reports, the duo parted ways after Kristen cheated on her co-star with Rupert Sanders, the director of Snow White and the Huntsman.

Talking about The Twilight Saga, it is a series of five vampire-themed romance fantasy films based on the novels of author Stephenie Meyer. The first part, titled Twilight, was released in 2008. While the fifth and last part of the series, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2, was released in 2012.
