Ryan Reynolds 'Promises' Deadpool Is Not In 'Doctor Strange 2' & Fans Call Him 'A Bad Liar'

There have been multiple rumours floating around about the number of superhero cameos in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness starring Benedict Cumberbatch in the lead.

One report had claimed that the film will feature around 25 superhero cameos while another claimed that Tom Cruise will be finally entering Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) as Superior Iron Man

Recently, the trailer of the film was released and left the fans extremely excited. The trailer of Sam Raimi directorial teased Sir Patrick Stewart’s Professor X cameo and also featured a mysterious Captain Marvel-esque figure that had fans divided whether it is Monica Rambeau or Tom Cruise’s Iron Man variant.

A few fans also claimed to have spotted Mr Fantastic Reed Richards in the trailer.

Besides the above-mentioned cameos, there are strong rumours that Ryan Reynolds’ fan-favourite superhero Deadpool will be making his debut in MCU with Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

But, according to Ryan Reynolds himself, there is no truth to it.

While promoting his upcoming Netflix film The Adam Project, Ryan Reynolds was asked by Variety about his supposed cameo as Deadpool in Doctor Strange 2.

The actor stated, “I guess I am really not supposed to say anything about that but I am really not in the movie.”

When the interviewer pointed out that he could be lying, Reynolds responded, “I could be an unreliable narrator but I promise I am not in the movie.”

When asked about the third instalment in the Deadpool franchise, he said, “It’s coming along.”

Ryan’s statement soon started going viral on social media with many fans calling him a liar.

One fan compared him to Andrew Garfield who had denied his presence in Spider-Man: No Way Home multiple times before the film’s release and wrote, “Mf starting to sound like Andrew Garfield”.

Agreed. And his wording: "I'm not supposed to say anything about that, I'm really not in the movie" ... @vancityreynolds if you are not in the movie then you wouldn't be mandated not to say anything about it.
We love you Ryan. #MCU #MultiverseOfMadness
