Tiger Vs Bunny: ‘Heropanti’ Is A Remake Of An Allu Arjun Film & Made More Money Than It

Any South Indian movie fan will agree that the kind of aesthetics we enjoyed in the action movies, with heroes jumping off trains and punches landing the bad guy flying in the air, the whole vibe was unmatched until a few years ago. One of the biggest action flicks in recent times was Heropanti, which was also the debut movie of action star Tiger Shroff, the man known to be more fluid than water.

While the masses loved the movie, only true fans know that this was actually a remake of Allu Arjun’s Parugu, which follows the same storyline of a guy falling in love with a girl under different circumstances. The film even won two Nandi awards and a Filmfare award.

Talking about the two movies and their budgets, while Parugu had a box office collection of over Rs 21.1 crore, Tiger took the lead over Bunny as Heropanti ended up making over Rs 77 crore.

Heropanti 2 is currently being filmed with Tara Sutaria and Tiger, and on the other hand, Allu Arjun is riding the success wave after Pushpa.
