If there’s one thing everyone loves about Sushmita Sen, then it’s her honesty. The actress has never shied away from sharing her life with her fans or speaking what’s on her mind. Be it being a single mother of two beautiful daughters or dating a guy younger to her by few years, her reality is her own and she is in fact a glorious example of someone who lives the way she wants.

Not many are aware but years ago, the former Miss Universe was known to be dating the sensational singer Ricky Martin. Though they never really spoke about it officially, the two always said they are close buddies. As we know, over 11 years ago, Ricky opened up about his sexuality and found lot of support in his fans. He mentioned how the societal pressure never allowed him to open up before.

In an interview with DNA, she spoke about their equation and Ricky in detail. "All the time I have known him, I've been so proud of him. It takes tremendous courage to accept your own DNA. I knew he was gay. More power to him. It is a fantastic feeling to be able to love who you want to and that's a choice no one can make for you," Sushmita had said on being asked about his coming out of the closet. She had even shared a throwback picture with Ricky once.
