Actress Vidya Balan believes in stating facts and is afraid of no one. Back when she was shooting Kismat Konnection with Shahid Kapoor, another ‘connection’ that was building up was the rumour of the two falling for each other.

While none of them really addressed it, Shahid always maintained that it was just a friendly vibe between them and nothing else. The rumours started doing the rounds around the time Kareena and he broke up and later, when Vidya Balan appeared on Koffee With Karan with Rani, he asked her about it.  

"So in this case there was no smoke or no fire?" he asked. Vidya replied , "No, no. I am not saying that there was no smoke and there wasn't fire. I am saying I am not telling you who was stoking that fire."

"You know, it's been two years since the link-up. I am fed up of the name Shahid Kapoor. I want to be linked with other men,” she replied when he asked if they broke up since Shahid moved on to another relationship.

There were later rumours of Shahid dating Tennis star Sania Mirza as well before he was spotted at Priyanka Chopra’s house and it was reported that they two were together.
