While Kangana Ranaut is vocal about nepotism in Bollywood and doesn’t hold back from naming and shaming people of the industry, she is also quite supportive and appreciative of actors and films that she thinks did a good job. 

Her praising KJo’s Shershaah and Sidharth Malhotra as Captain Vikram Batra is proof that she does call spade a spade.

Although there are not many people in the film industry who impress her, there is one who recently got heaps of praises from the actress. 

Yami Gautam's latest thriller, A Thursday, just released last week and her performance is being praised across the country. Kangana, too, is one of the people who are hailing the film and applauding Yami.

The film is currently enjoying an 8.3 rating on IMDb which is a great deal, especially for a woman-centric thriller film. 

Yami shared a picture of the same and captioned it, “No words to describe how this makes me feel Thanks to your constant love and support, that has helped me at every step in my journey!”

Kangana took to her social media and shared the picture on her Instagram stories, congratulating the entire team of A Thursday and the lead actress Yami Gautam. Yami reposted this on her story and thanked the actress. She wrote, “Thank you Kangana. Means a lot, especially when it comes from one self-made actor to another.”

This isn’t the first time Kangana has showered praises and love on Yami. 

Not just for the film, but at her wedding to director Aditya Dhar, Yami got praises from Kangana for being a “raw mountain girl” as she posed as a Himachali bride. She wrote in her stories, “Older than tradition and time. Nothing more divine than a raw mountain girl turned bride #himachalpradesh."

Both Yami and Kangana belong to Himachal Pradesh and both were considered ‘outsiders’ when they came to Bollywood.
