Over the years, Bollywood has succeeded in making many feel-good movies that have entertained fans throughout their childhoods and adolescence.

Now, while we have a really long list of movies that you can watch over and over again, there aren't many films on the same level as the 1994 film Andaz Apna Apna.

Starring two of the biggest superstars of Bollywood, Salman Khan, and Aamir Khan, the movie turned out to be a laughter fest. And this was when the movie failed to do the magic at the box office during its initial phase of release in cinemas.

The cult comedy also starred Paresh Rawal, Raveena Tandon, and Karisma Kapoor, and fans still do reruns of the movie.

Now, it was earlier reported that the movie's sequel Andaz Apna Apna 2 was also in the works, with director Rajkumar Santoshi helming the project as well.

Well, looks like he's given an important update on the film.

According to reports, Santoshi went to Aamir Khan's house on his birthday just recently in order to meet him personally. While we don't know if the movie was one of the reasons behind their meeting, Santoshi sure has something to say about it.

As per a Pinkvilla report, the Bollywood director revealed that he's currently writing the script of the film. “I am writing the script, but I should be satisfied with the final story too. So when the script is ready, we will think about the star cast and everything. Meanwhile, I have other films in the pipeline too.” said Santoshi.

Now, we know what you're wondering. What about Salman and Aamir then? And what about Karisma, Paresh Rawal, and Raveena, who was recently seen in Netflix's Aranyak?

Santoshi revealed that if their return is integral to the film, then they might and he will confirm it.

“We haven’t thought about it yet, if the story requires it then we will see,” he said.

As you know, Salman will next be seen in Tiger 3 and the upcoming Shah Rukh Khan film Pathan.

On the other hand, he will also be seen alongside Aamir in Laal Singh Chaddha. Hopefully, Andaz Apna Apna 2 will be their next project together!
