A few days back it was reported that due to the huge failure of Akshay Kumar starrer Bachchhan Paandey and underperformance of films like Tadap & Baaghi 3, producer Sajid Nadiadwala has decided to step away from backing Salman Khan starrer Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali & Bhai has taken it on himself to produce the film.

Now, a new report has claimed that Salman Khan will not only produce the film but has also decided to either direct or co-direct it with Bachchhan Paandey helmer Farhad Samji. 

A source told Bollywood Hungama that Salman is all set to turn director with Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali. The close producer-friend of Salman said, “Who do you think directs most of the films that he has done in the last 4-5 years? Not a single frame goes into the end product without Bhai’s consent. He has been sitting on the editing of every single frame of his films for a long time now.”  

Another source also claimed that the reason Inshallah with Sanjay Leela Bhansali was shelved is because of Bhai’s “direct-the-director policy”. 

As soon as the report of Salman turning director for Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali started doing the rounds, his die hard fans seemed unhappy. 

One fan requested him to shelve the movie and even wrote an open letter, “Plz bhai shelve kardo”.  

Another wrote, “Pahle isaka actor me torture sahan nahi hota hai ab director tarike jhelna padega ise”.  

One comment read, “I think KEKD is going be worst than Radhe and dabbang 3.where in dabbang 3 he wrote his dialogue...and now he is going to direct...”  

On the other hand, there were Akshay Kumar & Shah Rukh Khan fans who sarcastically asked for the film to be directed by Bhai.  

One user wrote, “Bhai we need this movie at any cost”. Another tweet read, “Bahubali 2 record break Bhai ka retirement pakka Likh ke lelo”.
