One for the road, literally!

This guy was too busy running his bike shop and didn't used to get enough time to visit his local pub, so he did what anyone else would do – bought a £12,000 camper van to convert it into a fully functional pub. Such an obvious move, right?

29-year old Ben Levy spent months to transform his Volkswagen 1957 Splitscreen into his own personal watering hole, complete with an optic bar, pub seating and a dart board. And that's not it – this mobile boozer even has beer taps, a wine rack, and even disco lights.

Ben explained, “I thought ‘let's do something different' so I decided I wanted to build a pub inside of it after a friend of mine came up with the idea. I thought it was a bit of a joke at first – but it was something I hadn't seen done before so I thought ‘why not?' We have got a local pub here so it just started as nothing more than my own place to drink.”

The bar, named The Dub Inn, now mostly caters to Ben and his friends who often enjoy a drink or two by the side of the road or outside his house, but sometimes he does cater for weddings as well.

He further added, “It has just been a case of doing it up on my days off. It took me a few months earlier this year to completely transform it. I have basically done it all by myself. The pub down the road is still our local but there is not much time to go out because of work and it is just somewhere to escape from time to time.”

Well, this pub in wheels is quite interesting, obviously, and it's pretty cool and innovative, but wouldn't it have been much cheaper for him to just go to his local pub instead?
