You may be wondering why the government has so aggressively pushed for the manufacture of electric cars and the sole reason behind this initiative is to promote the use of electric vehicles to curb carbon emissions and lower the energy demand. The plan was laid out in May, putting forward a 15-year roadmap to electrify all new vehicles by 2030 and also, limiting the registration of petrol and diesel cars.
