The love for Punjabi culture is infectious and if you ask anyone to describe their Punjabi friend, then chances are they will unanimously shout ‘FUN’, good food, a big heart, oodles of warmth and fuzzy hugs, crazy dance moves and forever smiling, as those are some stand-out traits of Punjabi people. Besides India, Canada is a hub where a ‘mini’ Punjab resides.

Something stupendous happened recently when Gurdeep Pandher, a Punjabi author and a resident of Whitehorse met the mayor and did something that any fun Punjabi friend would do. He taught the Mayor how to tie a turban and taught him a few Bhangra moves as well!

Mr. Dan Curtis, the Mayor of City Of Whitehorse, will go down in history as the first Canadian Mayor to learn how to tie a turban.

He seemed to enjoy the whole process and was pretty keen to understand how it works.
