It was back in 2008 when India first discovered a whole new side of director and screenwriter Farhan Akhtar. We witnessed the man charm his way to the silver screen so effortlessly, in the musical drama 'Rock On!!', which became a stellar hit at the box office!

The movie went on to become Farhan's first official stint in front of the camera, after having spent close to two decades behind it, first as an assistant director and then with his directorial debut in 2001 with 'Dil Chahta Hai'.

But did you know that 'Rock On!!' wasn't even supposed to be Farhan's debut movie? Yes, you read that right. Even before 'Rock On!!' hit the screens, Farhan had already made his acting debut with 'The Fakir of Venice', but unfortunately the movie never saw the light of the day.

But worry not, no missed trains here! If you love the dude and his fresh and relatable acting skills, you would be delighted to know that the movie is finally set to release this year! After all the great movies he sent our way, be it 'Rock On', 'Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara', 'Bhaag Milkha Bhaag', 'Dil Dhadakne Do, 'Rock On 2' or 'Lucknow Central' besides many others, we can't wait to see how it all started.

4. The plot of the film revolves around a con act involving two Indian men, who wish to make some quick bucks, and travel to Venice for the purpose. Farhan's character is that of a man who has been hired to find a Fakir, who will bury himself in sand for an installation project. On the other hand, Annu Kapoor plays the role of fascinating slum dweller-turned-Fakir.
