Taking a cue from 2018 - where literally anything and everything was happening without any explanation - 2019 has also kicked off with some pretty hard-to-believe stuff.
Vivek Oberoi is set to play Prime Minister Narendra Modi in a movie. (and no, not in 'The Accidental Prime Minister')
Apparently, there's a biopic on our beloved Prime Minister in the works and Vivek Oberoi has been roped in to play the titular character.
The news was broken by film and trade analyst Taran Adarsh on his Twitter account.
IT'S OFFICIAL... Vivekanand Oberoi [Vivek Oberoi] to star in Narendra Modi biopic, titled #PMNarendraModi... Directed by Omung Kumar... Produced by Sandip Ssingh... First look poster will be launched on 7 Jan 2019... Filming starts mid-Jan 2019.
— taran adarsh (@taran_adarsh) January 4, 2019Looks like it's the year of political movies and it won't end anytime soon after 'The Accidental Prime Minister'.
According to the tweet, the name of the movie has been decided to simply be 'PM Narendra Modi', but as always. there's no shortage of suggestions online.
From trolling Vivek Oberoi to trolling PM Modi to just giving alternate movie titles, this upcoming biopic has already got people talking online.
Vivek Oberoi will play Narendra Modi in his biopic. In an earlier interview he had said he loves to play Villain characters pic.twitter.com/jsHKIUxBnA

vivek oberoi once compared his performance in krrish 3 to heath ledger's joker. you know who else makes tall claims? pic.twitter.com/1jXeLF0fnO
— joke peralta (@floydimus) January 4, 2019Taking a lot of inspiration from 'The Accidental Prime Minister'.
The title will be like 'THE ACCIDENT WHICH SHOOK THE NATION'.
— Vicky (@Vicky8147) January 4, 2019Someone just had to drag in Rahul Gandhi.
Please make a film on Rahul Gandhi too and also includes the characters like Chutki, Raju , Chota Bheem and Doraemon ðð
— Hemant Singh (@realhmnt) January 4, 2019Perfect casting?
ROTFL! If Vivek Oberoi will play Modi then Akshay Kumar can play Amit Shah. https://t.co/FARUfyVIN7
— Sanjay Jha (@JhaSanjay) January 4, 2019Oops.
Thought Vivek Oberoi was an exceptional actor, just made bad choices.
And that still holds.
That would've been a better name, tbh.
I thought Modi biopic "Mitron" already released in 2018
— Kiran (@Kkiran72581) January 4, 2019Shots fired.
I think movie name is ' chore machaye shore ' is batter ðð
— Patel Duggu (@PatelDuggu2) January 4, 2019The same?
Vivek will have to just copy Amrish Puri from Nayak. It's same character
— Human Being (@HumanityAbvAll) January 4, 2019He does, yes.
But Vivek has already done a movie titled Bank Chor. https://t.co/MGajk9g5kx
— Sapan Verma (@sapanv) January 4, 2019Okay, too much.
I bet #Modi will be shown crying helplessly in 2002 riots scene. #modimovie #vivekoberoi #Imagemakeover
— 4cH4L (@achalkumargupta) January 4, 2019Another year full of surprises.
Out of the many things I expected to happen in 2019, Vivek Oberoi playing PM Modi in a biopic on Modi's life was definitely not on the list.
— Maanvi (@Maanvi2501) January 4, 2019Okay then.
Vivek Oberoi playing Narendra Modi is one of the rare instances when a lesser actor has to play a more talented one on screen. pic.twitter.com/jhw4l1B8BL
— Sahil Chopra (@csahilin) January 4, 2019Who will be cast?

Vivek Oberoi is not the right choice to play Narendra Modi in his biopic.
He once did a Press Conference.
Everyone just wants to see this scene.
