Sony has established a name for itself and has already tried its luck with every type of speaker. Whether they're big, small, gesture-activated, or flashy, Sony's covered everything. Now that you've covered almost every type of possible challenge, what's next? 

For Sony, it's party and chill, literally. The company has launched a new speaker at CES 2019 and it's perfect for outdoor parties. The GTK-PG10 is high on power and comes with a dedicated outdoor party mode. But, the most interesting aspect of the speaker is its design.

The speaker has foldable top panels that house the tweeters along with four cupholders to fit Solo cups in while you get your dance on. It features a built-in battery and is rated to offer up to 13 hours on a single charge. The built-in Digital Signal Processor (DSP) can adapt to the outward-facing design and adjust the output accordingly. 

It also features an FM tuner and support for Sony's Fiestable Android app. Among other things, the party speaker also has a microphone input for karaoke and a charger for recharging mobile devices. The GTK-PG10 is priced at US$ 249 (Rs 17,500).

On the flashy side, Sony launched the XB32 that is supposed to be a midrange speaker. It has an IP67 rating, washable fabric, and dust/shock resistance. However, this model has longer battery life of up to 24 hours per charge, as well as support for charging USB devices. The XB32 is also Fiestable compatible with colours and motion control.

It also has an inbuilt strobe light just for the fun of it. The speaker is priced at US$ 150 (Rs 10,500).

Sony also launched a small fist-sized speaker XB12, currently the most inexpensive of company's new speaker lineup, priced at US$ 60 (Rs 4,200). It has a cylindrical design and IP67 water- and dust-resistant rating. Sony says the speaker is also "completely party-proof". 

In addition to the portable party speaker, Sony has announced refreshed versions of its Extra Boom Bluetooth speaker lineup, including the XB72 and XB22. Sony has not confirmed exact availability but has stated all three XB models will hit store shelves sometime in the Spring.
