This weekend is fully packed with drama biopics on two of India's very powerful figures. Bal Thackeray and Rani of Jhansi, who changed the face of India's history in their own ways. So today has become extra special when Bollywood biopics of these two personalities have hit the theatres across the country.

'Thackeray' and 'Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi' released earlier today, and people have been queuing up outside movie halls, to watch both the films with equal enthusiasm. Though the tizzy surrounding 'Thackeray' in Mumbai cannot be replicated elsewhere, yet movie-goers from around the country have some real good things to say about the film, and especially Nawazuddin Siddiqui's performance in the film!

Nawazuddin Siddiqui is essaying the titular role in the bilingual film that has been directed by Abhijit Panse, and is based on the life and times of Shiv Sena supremo Bal Thackeray. The film also stars Amrita Rao in a pivotal role of Meena Tai Thackeray, opposite Nawazuddin.

The film fraternity can't stop praising the movie and Siddiqui's performance, as they took to Twitter to gush about the movie.

However, it is the opinion of the common man who is going to the movie that matters the most to us at the end of the day, isn't it? So as per the initial verdict on Twitter, the audience has declared that the movie has proven to be a gripping tale about the Shiv Sena chief, though it is Nawazuddin's marvellous performance that has brought Thackeray alive on screen. A movie-goer even went on to claim that if acting was a religion, Nawazuddin was god.
