The Lakmé Fashion Week 2019 opened with Gaurav Gupta's show titled "(Un)folding" on Tuesday, at the Royal Opera House.

There was also an interesting collaboration with poetess Navkirat Sodhi, who recited her original poetry suspended in the air, while dressed in a (traditionally) long floor-sweeping gown while models strutted on the ramp.
With Tabu and Karan Johar as showstoppers, the show really did reach its peak in the end.

while Johar wore a red blazer with silver and black embellishments on the shoulder.

The curated range, which took three months to master, was vibrant with shades of ivory, powder blue, beige, rose, black, red, yellow and golden, and Gaurav used chikankari and brocade for the very first time and combined it with his signature origami-esque patterns.
