Now with Kapil Dev's biopic in the pipeline, cricket and Bollywood fans can look forward together to witnessing that moment being recreated on the silver screen by Ranveer Singh in '83'. 

Based on the life of former Indian captain Kapil Dev, '83 has been garnering a lot of momentum ever since its date of release was announced earlier this month.

With Ranveer set to star in his first ever biopic, which will release in 2020, the 'Gully Boy' actor recently shared his excitement about playing Kapil Dev on-screen. He shared that he wants to absorb as much as possible from Kapil Dev to do justice to his character.

Ranveer is currently looking forward to spending time with Kapil Dev in order to get into the skin of his character. It is also reported that Ranveer will be taking cricketing tips from Kapil Dev himself and will try to gain some depth and perspective from the cricketer.

As per latest reports, Ranveer considers Kapil Dev's achievements as extraordinary. He even added that Kapil Dev is the quintessential underdog who made it with his perseverance, hard work, and positive mindset. He exclaimed that he is extremely inspired by the former captain of the Indian cricket team and wants to give his best in bringing Kapil Dev to life on-screen.
