For a man who has helped his country scale new heights in international cricket, Mahendra Singh Dhoni continues to be an asset that any team wouldn't hesitate to add to their line-up. Whether it's his captaincy, batting skills or mighty quick glovework, Dhoni has a knack of finding unique ways to aid the Indian cricket team.

The Jharkhand cricketer may no longer be the captain, but such has been his experience and know-how of the game, that Virat Kohli is often seen seeking his help in setting up the field and the bowlers continue to thrive under his guidance from behind the stumps. While a former and current captain might find it difficult to get along, Kohli and Dhoni continue to share mutual respect and admiration as their close bond aims to take Indian cricket to greater achievements.

Dhoni's impeccable knowledge of the game and his camaraderie with Kohli were both in full display during the 2nd Twenty20 International (T20I) at the M. Chinnaswamy stadium in Bengaluru.

The duo was seen forging a vital 100-run partnership for the fourth wicket that allowed India to post a competitive total of 190 runs. While Kohli slammed a blistering 38-ball 72 (including two fours and six sixes), Dhoni, too, looked in sublime touch during his 23-ball 40 which was decorated with three fours and as many sixes.

If their batting partnership aided India in a crucial situation, their camaraderie during Australia's chase elated the home fans. In a brief video shared by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), Kohli can be seen gesturing towards Dhoni after a dismissal which was probably affected by the latter's inputs.

While India lost the match and eventually the two-match T20I series, the camaraderie between Kohli and Dhoni surely cheered up the home fans.
