There's probably not a single person in the country right now who doesn't know the simmering tensions between India and Pakistan, which are at an all-time high right now. The recent turbulence started with the deadly Pulwama terror attack on 14th February and then escalated after India's air strike on a JeM terror camp in Pakistan on 26th February.
Amid all this turbulence and rash cries for a possible confrontation, a lot of people from both countries have come together to call for peace and got the hashtag #SayNoToWar trending on Twitter. This hashtag started yesterday, but right now, it's much more important after Pakistan announced that it is releasing captured IAF Pilot Abhinandan Varthaman tomorrow as a 'gesture of peace'.
#SayNoToWar is not cowardice. The father of the nation was opposed to any war and he certainly was no coward. In fact he was one of the bravest that humanity has ever seen. Social media jingoism and mindless warmongering should not be mistaken for bravery!!— Prashant Kishor (@PrashantKishor) February 28, 2019
Imran Khan just announced that Pakistan is freeing Wing Commander Abhinandan tomorrow as a peace gesture. Now it's Modi's turn. #SayNoToWar ð— Jeremy McLellan (@JeremyMcLellan) February 28, 2019
People need to think about the realities of war.
Being an army kid I can say confidently that the only war India & Pakistan should fight is against terrorism, poverty and illiteracy . Full stop. #SayNoToWar #SayNoToTerrorism #Jaihindð®ð³ #SaluteOurForces ð— Preity G Zinta (@realpreityzinta) February 28, 2019

Say no to war!
My mom still remembers having to undergo war drills in Punjab as an elementary school student in the 1970s, practicing hiding in bunkers in case bombs were dropped. Wars are between India and Pakistan, but its Punjabis and Kashmiris that suffer the most. #SayNoToWar— Roop (@renegaderoop) February 28, 2019
A good quote.
Terrorism is the war of the poor, and war is the terrorism of the rich.
