The man behind the terrific performance of rapper MC Sher was Siddhant Chaturvedi who portrayed the role with conviction. Ever since the film's release, people have spoken of him in the same breath as Ranveer and Alia, whenever someone thought of Zoya Akhtar's blockbuster musical drama 'Gully Boy'.

Since the film's release, Siddhant became a household name with his more than perfect debut, while girls simply couldn't get enough of him. With so many people wanting more of MC Sher, and others wondering about the rapper's own backstory, struggles and future after Murad's raging popularity, reports are now rife that producer Ritesh Sidhwani and Zoya Akhtar have decided to create a spin-off around MC Sher becoming an overnight sensation, which will help smoothen out all the ruffled feathers.

“The film is entirely based on Siddhant's character and traces MC Sher's journey to becoming a hero. This will also give the makers a chance to delve deeper into the hip-hop culture and you can expect many engaging rap battles,” a source was quoted as saying.

This has come as good news for hundreds of MC Sher and Siddhant Chaturvedi fans who will now get to behold the rapper's life story in a standalone movie, who played the role of a terrific mentor and an even better friend in 'Gully Boy'.
