Superhero movies can be inspiring. Characters like Captain America and Iron Man can motivate people to never give up, stay focused on their goals, try harder when things don't seem to go the way they'd imagined, and everything else in between.
However, the beautiful thing about such movies is that they are open to interpretation. People are free to fall in love with whichever character they relate mostly to and aspire to become like them. Sometimes a little too much, but that's okay.
Take this man, Henry Damon, for example. Currently 41-years-old, the Venezuelan comic book fan got up one morning and decided that he wanted to look like Red Skull from Marvel's 'Captain America: The First Avenger', a fictional (keyword) character played by the ever so talented Hugo Weaving.

While the movie was released in 2011, Damon's resolution to look like the Hydra villain came around somewhere in 2012 when he tattooed his eyes black and realised for the first time that he was going to go the distance and modify his face completely to look like Red Skull.
“He has loved comic books since he was a kid and always dreamed of being Red Skull, but never got round to doing it,” friend Pablo Hernandez said.

After going through a series of operations to get subdermal implants to his forehead, Damon underwent surgery to chop off half of his nose to get the iconic nasal appearance the Nazi villain boasted so much in both the comics and the movie.

“Henry aka Red Skull is a physically and intellectually healthy person,” said Emilio Gonzalez, a med-school drop-out with expertise in tattoo-making and extreme body surgeries.
“He's an excellent son, husband and father, who has an extreme taste for body modification. Most of my customers know that body modification is the last step of body art, everyone knows very well what they want and as well as Henry, many of them are waiting for me for many years to make their dreams a reality.”
After the nose surgery, Damon went on to put silicone implants on his cheekbones and covered his face with red and black tattoos to complete the look.
Final result?
