Sourav Ganguly's recent appointment as BCCI president harks back to the moment in more ways than one. And making a statement in true Dada fashion, he wore the same blazer he had been given when he was appointed the captain of the India cricket team in 2000.

Dada has been appointed as the chief of cricket's governing body in India at a time when it was plagued by allegations of corruption. In similar fashion, he took the reins of the Indian cricket team after it was reeling post the match fixing era that had destabilised the team.
Post the departure of many senior players, Ganguly had to shoulder immense responsibilities. Needless to say, what followed was his ascent to legacy that was characterised by his fearlessness and bold decisions which he took to turn the team around.

This tweet was particularly on point.
If you had any doubts on how https://twitter.com/SGanguly99?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">@SGanguly99 will run the BCCI, his first answer from the press conference should set the tone: "I am wearing the same blazer that I wore on my first day as India captain."

While we can't get enough of it ourselves, what lies ahead is a fairly uphill task. But if his stint as the captain of India is anything to go by, it's safe to say Indian cricket is in safe hands.
