Randy Orton's Threat To Leave The WWE Is A Major Cause Of Worry For The Company In Reality

If you are a wrestling fan who's been following the matches and performances of some of the biggest names of the industry such as The Undertaker, The Rock and John Cena, you would have discovered lately that the kind of shows the World Wrestling Entertainment is producing lack the oomph they had maybe 10-20 years ago.

The storylines are weak, the promotions aren't good enough and to be honest, there isn't as much wrestling involved in the company that used to thrive on it once.

Seth Rollins did his finisher 10 times in this clip. 10 TIMES! And after every single one, the boos got louder. It's crazy but no one wanted him to win. Worst ending EVER. Horrible booking by @WWE @VinceMcMahon @WWEBrayWyatt #HIAC pic.twitter.com/pWRyHWOCoa

It is because of this reason that despite having big pay-per-views and a roster loaded with some of the most familiar faces in the wrestling world, the fans of the show are slowly moving away from the industry-giant and towards smaller but fresher brands.

One of the upcoming companies in terms of having the biggest impact recently is the All Elite Wrestling or the AEW, that has not only managed to draw in former WWE superstars like Chris Jericho and Dean Amdrose but also their former commentators like Jim Ross.

With the financial backing of Pakistani-American billionaire Shahid “Shad” Khan and a television contract with one of the biggest networks in the US in the TNT, the AEW looks like it is here to stay.

Under such circumstances, the 9x WWE Champion, Randy Orton threatened to leave the company and go join AEW after the WWE delayed in renewing the star's contract extension.

“Tick Tock Tick Tock [sic]” read the post, presumably Orton counting the number of days before he jumps ship.

His friend and the current AEW Champion Chris Jericho - who's also tagged in the post, replied by saying “Send in a tape and some pix and I'll see what I Can do....”

Whether it is Orton's cheeky way to getting a major raise ahead of his contract renewal with the WWE or does he actually want to leave the company and move on to AEW is still a mystery which will only be revealed in the coming weeks. However, the fact that a single man can throw his weight around the company and make Vince McMahon actually listen to his qualms says a lot about the current situation of the brand.
