Nawazuddin Siddiqui's Assessment Of Indian Cinema-goers Is Brutal Honesty At Its Best

Nawazuddin Siddiqui, who is known to bring his characters alive on the big screen with great conviction, has recently been brutally honest with his responses in one of his interviews. In a very recent interview, he revealed that he has lost all hope in the audience and tries to cater to what they want.

Elaborating on the mindset of Indian audiences, he added that they only want a masala film with songs, dance and vulgar humour. He also talked about how the audience doesn't understand certain kinds of movies, citing the example of his film, Photograph.

The actor attributed the lack of watching slow-paced, romantic movies and over-the-top movies which are far detached from the reality, for the current mindset of the audiences.

Speaking of his upcoming movie, Motichoor Chaknachoor, Nawaz added that the movie is a situational comedy and that the characters are written in such a way that it evokes natural humour. He also highlighted how there were no deliberate attempts to add any punches as the movie takes its inspiration from daily life of common people.

Going by trailer, it looks like the film is going to be a fun riot. And you haven't seen it yet, check it out below:

Nawazuddin essays the role of a 36-year-old Dubai returned NRI, Pushpinder Tyagi, who, after a lot of struggles, marries a girl named Annie, played by Athiya Shetty. And honestly, the whole idea of two bachelors struggling to find their perfect better halves sounds like quite the recipe for a humorous setting.

Helmed by Debamitra Biswal, the film will hit theatres on 15 November. Are you planning to watch this movie? Let us know in the comments below.
