SC Gives A Nod To Both Mandir & Masjid And People Believe It's A Win-Win For Every Indian

The 30-year-long dispute around the Ayodhya Babri Masjid issue has been finally laid to rest as the five-judge bench headed by Chief Justice of India (CJI) Ranjan Gogoi, along with Justices DY Chandrachud, S Abdul Nazeer, Ashok Bhushan, and SA Bobde delivered the unanimous judgement on the much awaited case.

Since 1949 when the first unrest around the Ayodhya Ram Mandir - Babri Masjid broke out, the eventual demolition of the Babri Masjid on December 6, 1992 by a group of Hindu activists of the Vishva Hindu Parishad and its allies, to this day when the Supreme Court's special five-judge bench announced that there will be no losers in this fight, it has been the focal point of national politics and emotions.

Just minutes ago, CJI Gogoi formally announced that a Ram Mandir will be constructed on the disputed Babri Masjid land, while a separate 5-acre land will be given for the construction of a masjid in the area.

The special bench has tried to uphold the meaning of democracy with this verdict, giving both Hindus and Muslims in the country a reason to come together and celebrate. While a lot is being said, many opinions and emotions have surfaced on social media post the verdict. Here is what people are saying.

Supreme Court acted like a dad, who saw his kids fighting over something, gave that thing to one kid and bought a new one for the other

Their credit was due too.

Due credit should be given to all the 5 judges of this panel.ðð

They have finally ended the longest case in the legal history.

They worked overtime and were preparing judgements during Diwali vacation.#AyodhyaJudgment #AYODHYAVERDICT

We are overjoyed after waiting for 550 years and battling it out in courtrooms for 135 years.

Those who insulted Shri Ram for petty political gains must hang their heads in shame.

But it's also important to maintain peace and respect the other side. #AYODHYAVERDICT

People uphold the judgement.

Clear and decisive judgment that solves this longstanding problem. Special regard to the Supreme Court for accepting the evidence of the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) that proved ancient temple existed on the site. #AYODHYAVERDICT #RamMandir

While some still hold reservations.

The #AYODHYAVERDICT was the last nail in the coffin of my dying trust in the judiciary.

Lmao who did this hindutva court try to fool? Gave all the land to Hindus and Muslims will get it somewhere else? The Babri masjid was demolished by Hindus!

Most politically motivated decision ever. Secular India my ass! Watch out for #Hinglaj and #KatasRaj now #AYODHYAVERDICT
