With the wedding season comes some of the greatest responsibilities, like keeping your stomach empty enough to stuff that extra golgappa or gulab jamun, or singing the lyrics of 'Ishq Tera Tadpave' while dancing just so you can shout Oh Ho Ho Ho when the DJ stops, or picking a perfect wedding gift that won't be forwarded like the box of Soan Papdi we get on Diwali. 

While we can't help you with the first two, we just found the perfect wedding gift that you can give someone and be remembered as a legend for generations to come. And the credit goes to the friends of this Tamil Nadu couple who turned people's misery into a great opportunity. 

Onions have become so expensive that people are crying just looking at them, forget chopping them. So what better gift can there be than onions to show someone how much you love them.

And that's exactly what the friends of a couple, getting married at Manjakuppam in Cuddalore, did. They gifted the bride and groom a bouquet made from 2.5 kg of onions. 

According to reports, one of the friends said, "onion is sold at Rs. 195 a kg eating into the budget of the commoners. So we bought 2.5 kg at Rs.500 from a store in Cuddalore and presented it to the couple".

As expected, this unique bouquet caught the attention of people at the wedding and on social media, who couldn't stop laughing as the couple and their friends posed with the onions.  

Woah! These friends must be super rich or really love the couple to go this far.
