Tamil Nadu Farmer Builds Temple Dedicated To PM Narendra Modi & We've Found The Biggest 'Bhakt'

A farmer from Erakudi village in Tamil Nadu has built a temple dedicated to Narendra Modi. 50-years old P Sankar has built the temple on his farm with an idol of PM Modi.

According to TOI, Sankar constructed the temple in eight months and it cost him around Rs 1.2 lakh to build the whole temple. The temple was inaugurated last week and a daily aarti is performed every day since then.

He said that he has been a beneficiary of various schemes introduced by PM Modi. "I received Rs 2,000 (Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi) scheme for farmers, gas (Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana) and toilet (Individual Household Latrine Scheme) facilities. I also like him for his personality as well. I have been keenly watching him for long," he added.

In fact, Sankar had visited the nearby coastal town of Mamallapuram when PM Modi had come there for an informal summit with Chinese president Xi Jinping. Even though he couldn't meet the PM, he was glad to catch a glimpse of his cavalcade from a distance. Sankar also claims to be a BJP member. He said that another major reason behind building a temple is the implementation of National Eligibility cum Entrance Test(NEET) for admissions to medical colleges.

His daughter couldn't get admission in a medical college even after scoring well in Higher Secondary exam due to illegal admission procedures. Sankar believes NEET will help put an end to such illegal processes.
