Life can be so unpredictable, and it takes personal experiences to really believe that. So when Swiggy delivery boy Vishal went about taking care of his deliveries, little did he know that one particular delivery to this young man named Nikhil George will change his life and how.

Vishal had gone to hand over the delivery to Nikhil when the two started chatting. This eventually led to an exchange that helped the world discover a talented artist who is a “painter by profession and a delivery boy by compulsion”.

This is how things went down:

No sooner did Nikhil post this update that it caught people's attention on Twitter. People couldn't stop praising Vishal's talent and requests for projects and portraits began pouring in. Bollywood actor-director Pooja Bhatt was one of those who wanted to get in touch with Vishal to get portraits created.

Vishal had joined Swiggy in 2018 to financially support himself and works with the food delivery company on a part-time basis while sparing a large chunk of his day to explore his passion for painting.

If he is willing to come to Malda, which we will pay for, we are looking for an artist to paint an Aaganwadi Centre here. Might not get paid as much but would be great exposure for his work.

According to a HT report, Vishal's Instagram post said, “Hello everybody, I am Vishal. I am a painter by profession and a delivery boy by compulsion. Would love to earn my daily bread thru' my hobby and passion.” He also added that one of his friends helped him create the Instagram account showcase his work and gain more exposure.

As for Nikhil, this is what he had to say to HT, “After delivering the order, he told me that he's an artist and asked me if I needed any paintings done. I asked him to show me his work. I was impressed. I never expected it to get the response that it did. My phone started buzzing non-stop.”
