If there was a precious hidden gem that the Indian cricket team discovered by getting into the highly controversial and questionable âexperimental modeâ ahead of the ICC Menâs T20 World Cup 2020, Navdeep Saini has to be it.
Not only has the cricketer established himself as a formidable pacer worthy of playing for the senior national team but has successfully made it to the regular roster rotation as a replacement for any of the top fast bowlers the nation has produced.
He has the pace and can swing the ball in both directions. And just when we thought we had seen everything the 27-year-old had to offer, Saini comes to the crease, slams five fours and two sixes on his way to a 45-run knock just when India required one of the players from the end of the batting lineup to step up.
Navdeep Saini has just been dismissed for 45, his highest score in all top-level cricket

And even though he got dismissed in a rather juvenile fashion after hitting Kiwi giant Kyle Jamieson for a maximum on the previous delivery, which potentially was the last nail in the coffin and the series loss for the Men in Blue, he showed that he could provide some valuable shots for the team late in the game.
After the impressive sting with the bat and having himself one of the most economical 10 overs during the first half of the match, it was his turn to face the camera and answer the reportersâ questions at the post-match conference and guess what, he smashed that out of the park as well.
âNavdeep Saini is here to address the press conference. He will be speaking in hindi,â the host was informing the reporters ahead of the question-answer session when Saini interrupted him and said â... and Punjabi,â signifying that he was going to speak in his mother tongue that evening.
And thatâs exactly what he did:

While surprising a good lot of people, Sainiâs innocence surely earned him some fans from within the country and the punjabis from all over the world:
Well done on the field and in the press conference, Navdeep! :)
â North Stand Gang - Wankhede (@NorthStandGang) February 8, 2020And It Should'nt be, IF You Can Speak then Its OK, but There's no Shame In that at all ! People Should take this Positively
â Mani ðµð° (@ManiTweets14) February 8, 2020Hahahahaha I like his innocence. Delhi wale bahut se logo ka hindi mein hath tang hai. Thank god Kohli is punjabi too otherwise can be hard discussing plans on the field. ð¤£
â Ravi (@rajinder_ravi) February 8, 2020Language should never be . Yeah if you can speak english its ok if not its also ok . I have never heard Messi speaking English .
