Photo Of 'Great Wall Of Ahmedabad' Built To Welcome Trump Leaves People On Twitter 'Heart-Broken'
On US President Donald Trumpâs visit to India, around Rs. 80-85 crore is expected to be spent and almost half the budget is going solely towards security arrangements. Despite the heavy security arrangements, five langurs have also been deployed on the route of Trumpâs procession to keep him away from the monkey ruckus in Agra.
The government has also undergone many vigorous steps for the country's beautification to welcome Trump and its attempt to build up a wall in Ahmedabad, to keep aside a stretch of people, has only left people on social media "heart broken".
The âgreat wallâ has been built alongside the road connecting the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport to Indira Bridge in Ahmedabad where the "biggest road show" is set to take place today.
The main objective behind the wall is to hide more than 500 kutcha houses at the Dev Saran or Saraniyavaas slum area in the city.
âNamaste Trumpâ event, which has kick-started on Monday, will be similar to the landmark âHowdy, Modi!â event hosted by the Indian-American community in honour of Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his visit to Houston in September 2019.
India looks forward to welcoming @POTUS @realDonaldTrump.
It is an honour that he will be with us tomorrow, starting with the historic programme in Ahmedabad! https://t.co/fAVx9OUu1j
People on social media, at large, are of the view that rather than using the money to build a wall and concealing the reality, the money could have been used in bettering the slumâs situation.

What is on the other side of the wall?
Hey @realDonaldTrump although they have erected a wall, I know you love to build the wall, to hide govt inefficiency from you. Thought I might help to see what's on the other side#TrumpIndiaVisit#USIndia#ModiTrumpSummit pic.twitter.com/hSnnLgTRzp
