The President of the United States of America, Donald Trump is in India for the second time in two years, this time around the âNamaste Trumpâ campaign which falls in sequence to the âHowdy Modiâ event from last year.
During the POTUSâ first day in here, he was requested to inaugurate one of the biggest architectural marvels of modern India- the Motera Stadium in Gujarat, Ahmedabad which was renovated with a Rs. 700 crore budget and is now holds the record for the biggest cricket stadium (1,10,000 seats) in the world, outdoing the Melbourne Cricket Ground by a seating capacity of 15,000 people.
India & America Unite!
125,000+ patriots in white Trump hats at Motera stadium erupted in huge cheer to welcome Trump as #NamasteTrump reverberates all around
Leftist media and radicals underestimated our country's friendship, bond & partnership in fighting evil.#TrumpInIndia pic.twitter.com/YUtN6mRtdE
The ceremony went extremely well. The performances put up in front of the US President and the Indian Prime Minister were incredible and the sheer volume of people that attended the event was impressive in itself.
Even before touching base in India, you could tell that Trump was excited about this tour as he went out of his way to tweet in hindi about his arrival:
हम à¤à¤¾à¤°à¤¤ à¤à¤¨à¥ à¤à¥ लिठततà¥à¤ªà¤° हà¥à¤ । हम रासà¥à¤¤à¥ मà¥à¤ हà¥à¤, à¤à¥à¤ हॠà¤à¤à¤à¥à¤ मà¥à¤ हम सबसॠमिलà¥à¤à¤à¥!

However, Trump made one teeny-tiny mistake of mispronouncing the name of the âgod of cricketâ, Sachin Tendulkar. In his speech while addressing the more than one lakh people at the venue and others watching from all over the country, Trump wanted to talk about the things that mattered the most to the Indian population, that is, bollywood and cricket.
And while he nailed the bollywood bit, he accidently stuttered Tendulkarâs name wrongly.
Something about Donald Trump's pronunciation of Sachin Tendulkar tells me he isn't a huge cricket fan pic.twitter.com/stFhq46MLx

Naturally, the world had to make the most of this moment and troll the man online. And to do the honours, it was the International Cricket Council (ICC), that took the lead.

Modi pronounces Donald Trump as Dolan Trump.
To take revenge Trump calls Sachin as Soochin. https://t.co/cHqHXJdfBo

â Vinaya Raghavan (@vinus_sapience) February 24, 2020On one hand, it is unfair to expect someone who has most probably never seen a single match of cricket in his life to correctly say the name of its legends but on the other hand, he did take the risk and ended up paying for it, so weâd say itâs dead even now!
