There are movies that you go to a theatre to watch, watch it and then forget it once the popcorn and the glass of coke is digested. But then there are movies that you can watch over and over again, and still feel goosebumps every time you see it. Vidhu Vinod Chopra's 3 Idiots is one such movie.

A cinema theatre in the Japanese city of Osaka shut down, and the film screened in its final show happened to be Aamir Khanâs 3 Idiots. The theatre organisers tweeted, âThe last show of Fuse Line Cinemas, 15:30 times today. It will be fine. 131 guests! It is housefull! Thank you!â

The theatre saw a heavy audience, proving that it is one of the most impactful movies of all time and is loved by everyone across the globe. Well, 3 Idiots released a decade ago but it seems like itâs still pretty much relevant.

The movie talked about very relatable issues that most of us have faced at different times in our lives. It focused on the rat race that comes along with our education sector. It showed how parents want their children to become engineers and not go for creative fields because itâs hard to mint money.

3 Idiots also discouraged rote learning and memorising the syllabus without understanding the meaning. 

The movie was released overseas in Taiwan, Hong Kong, South Korea, China, and Japan. It will be interesting to see what Aamir Khan and other lead actors have to say about this.

It was released on 25th December 2009 starring Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan in lead roles and Sharman Joshi, R. Madhavan and Boman Irani in pivotal roles.

There have been talks about the sequel of the movie as the first one did really well. Last year, Hirani in an interview with a tabloid revealed that he started writing the script for 3 Idiots part 2.

He said, âI definitely want to make a sequel to 3 Idiots. In fact, Abhijat [Joshi, writer] and I started writing something a few days ago. But itâs still in the initial stage and we will take a fair amount of time to develop the script.â
