Waking up to the news of 627 deaths in Italy which has recorded its highest daily rise in the number of deaths of people infected with COVID-19 is a stark reminder of how serious the situation is. However, back in our country, literate people like Kanika Kapoor are letting the whole country down. In fact, she has done a horrendous crime of putting all the people she met after her trip from London in danger.

Despite the government issuing an advisory to self-quarantine yourself after your trip from abroad, it seems to be difficult to understand for people. Yesterday, the news broke in that Kanika Kapoor has been tested positive and now, control mapping of the people she met is underway.

The singer has now been booked for her negligence and an utter nonsensical move. An FIR has been registered against her at Sarojini Nagar police station, said Police Commissioner Surjit Pandey. âAn FIR was lodged at the Sarojini Nagar police station under IPC Sections 269 (negligent act likely to spread infection of disease dangerous to life), 270 (malignant act likely to spread infection of disease dangerous to life), 188 (disobedience to order duly promulgated by public servant)," he told news agency PTI.

Kanika Kapoor, on a telephonic interview with AajTak, told that she wasn't aware of the guidelines of staying in isolation of 14 days. She said no one told or advised her to be quarantined. In the interview, she also told that she had attended small family get-togethers and since the last seven days, she hadn't been meeting anyone. In fact, her father also talked to the leading Television news channel and said that she did attend four to five Holi parties. He also added that she was completely fine and it was only in the last two days that her health started deteriorating. Hereâs the video of her and her father's interview:

According to the reports, not only did she attended Congress leader Jitin Prasadaâs dinner party, but she also had a Holi party in Lucknow on March 10, just a day after her return from London.
