Ratan Tata Busts Fake News About Himself & People Laud His Tough Stand Against Misinformation

The worldwide pandemic outbreak is doing more harm than imaginable. The situation is a real crisis that the whole world is facing right now and trying very hard to defeat.

Yet, as disheartening as it is to see the number of casualties growing, witnessing the dwindling state of the world economy amid the coronavirus outbreak is equally worrisome.

Of course, we have all received our share of updates and news on Indiaâs economic state amid the COVID-19 crisis, but here is the real problem. Half of those âforwardedâ messages going âviralâ on social media are fake. Whether we like it or not, but this pandemic has indeed given rise to an unwanted infodemic and itâs time we admit it.

Just like the Chairman of the Tata Group, Ratan Tata, bust fake news about him merely hours ago today.

The fake news which was widely being circulated on social media platforms contained a picture of him along with a âmotivational quoteâ which the picture alleged was Mr Tataâs own opinion on Indiaâs economy and whatâs in store for us in the future.

However, Mr Tata took to his Twitter account to clarify saying, âThis post has neither been said, nor written by me. I urge you to verify media circulated on WhatsApp and social platforms. If I have something to say, I will say it on my official channels. Hope you are safe and do take care.â

â harmony1960 (@harmony1960) April 11, 2020

People also want to reassure Mr Tata that their trust in him remains intact.

You're our hero. And we trust you.
