Jio Extends Incoming Call Validity To Help People Who're Unable To Recharge Due To The Lockdown

Jio has announced that it's extending the incoming call validity for all subscribers during the ongoing COVID-19 lockdown. This move comes after other major telecom operators extended their incoming call validity too.

So now, all the major telecom operators in India including Jio, BSNL, Airtel and Vodafone have extended their incoming call validity. This means the subscribers will continue to receive at least the incoming calls if they're unable to recharge their numbers because of the lockdown.

Unlike a lot of us, who currently recharge our phones online, a huge chunk of people still rely on physical stores. And since the entire country is under lockdown and it's difficult for people to recharge their numbers, this move will certainly make things better.

That being said, Airtel and Vodafone are only offering the validity extension to low-income subscribers. But Jio and BSNL are extending the same for all their subscribers, which is the right thing to do.

In case you're wondering, Airtel in particular, is offering incoming calls to over 30 million low-income subscribers on the basis of average revenue per user (ARPU). Vodafone, on the other hand, is offering the same to only the people who're using feature phones. Only BSNL and Jio have decided to extend it for all their users.

Recently, Jio also introduced a way to allow everyone to earn commission while recharging for others. It's very simple and anyone can do it by installing an app.
