Amid the ongoing situation across the world, due to the outbreak of the deadly coronavirus, Bollywood singer Sonu Nigam decided to continue his stay in Dubai with his wife and son. However, he is trending high on Twitter right now for his controversial tweets from the past. Back in 2017, the singer had tweeted over âAzaanâ and drew the religious ire of people for it. He had expressed his displeasure towards the loudspeaker noise of âAzaanâ in the past and called it âforced religiousnessâ in the country in his tweets. Now, after three years, amid the COVID-19 global health crisis, the singer is in Dubai and people have flooded the micro-blogging site with the screenshots of his old tweets, calling it an irony. Following this, he has in fact deactivated his account. Soon some people started trolling the singer with the hashtag âSonu Nigam Tum Kaha Hoâ.

Meanwhile, the singer has categorically said in his previous media interviews that heâs not âagainst any religionâ and that he stands by his opinions. He also claimed at a later stage that all this was said without malice.
