A platform that gave a chance to brilliant singers to show their talent nationwide was Indian Idol. The show became a rage and garnered all the attention possible ever since its inception. Indian Idol has now reached season 11 and yet, it is still amongst the favourite singing shows of the nation.

1. Abhijeet Sawant (Season 1)

The winner of first Indian Idol was Abhijeet Sawant who shook the entire nation with his melodious voice. Post his victory on this show, he sang for a few songs in Bollywood and as per sources, he will soon start his own reality show.

A boy who hailed from Bikaner, Sandeep Acharya became the winner of Indian Idol, season 2 in 2006. Even he sang for many Bollywood and Rajasthani movies. But, he was diagnosed with jaundice and he passed away in 2013. Yet, he truly reigned supreme every arena with his singing.

3. Prashant Tamang (Season 3)

A successful singer, who came from Nepal, launched his own album that included both Hindi and Nepali songs. As you would assume a singer to continue showcasing his talent, Prasant started acting and worked in, Gorkha Paltan, that released in 2010.

Season 4 became the first one to see a female winner in 2008. A girl from Tripura, Sourabhee Debbarma, continues singing while touring all around the world. She launched her first very album 'Meherbaan' and is also a part of Guinness World Records, as she sang upside-down for 4:30 mins.

Sreeram became the first South Indian who worn the Indian Idol trophy. A prominent singer in the South, he has also been a part of Bollywood and has given us some super hit songs like 'Subanallah'. He has also signed a couple of Telugu movies.

Vipul Mehta, after winning the show, gave his debut album Hello Namaste Sat Sri Akal, that didn't go quite well. But currently, he is performing at live music concerts and shows.

For someone, who doesn't know Hindi, singing can certainly be a task. The winner of season 9, LV Revanth, became the national talent for his voice.  LV Revnath proved his prowess, post the show, when he sang for Baahubali.

After bagging the trophy, Salman Ali became a mentor for Superstar Singer. He also added that he is currently into concerts and has also sung for several Bollywood movies.

The winner of Indian Idol 2019, Sunny Hindustani, kick-started with his Youtube Channel and has taken a full-fledged interest in entertaining his fans virtually at the moment.
