Anand Mahindra Praising Mr Ambani For Jio-FB Deal Shows Ego Has No Place When It Comes To Nation

Mahindra Group Chief Anand Mahindra today took to his Twitter account to heap praises on Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani for their recent deal with US tech giant Facebook.

Calling it as a strong signal of Indiaâs economic importance, he tweeted, âJioâs deal with Facebook is good not just for the two of them. Coming as it does during the virus-crisis, it is a strong signal of Indiaâs economic importance post the crisis.â

The industrialist also didnât think twice before congratulating Mukesh Ambani on his latest business move. "It strengthens hypotheses that the world will pivot to India as a new growth epicentre. Bravo Mukesh!" he wrote on the micro-blogging site.

On Wednesday, Reliance Industries announced that it has entered into a binding agreement with Facebook Inc. for the sale of a 9.99% equity stake in subsidiary Jio Platforms Ltd for Rs. 43,574 crore.

"All of us at Reliance and Jio are delighted to welcome Facebook Inc. as our long-term and esteemed partner. At the core of our partnership is the commitment that Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg and I share for the all-round digital transformation of India and for serving all Indians," Ambani was quoted by ANI.

People on social media were largely impressed by Mahindraâs gesture of appreciating this initiative.

I am a fan of your optimism, sir. The best thing is you come across as optimistic yet grounded. More power to you!
