Move Over Kartik Aaryan, These 5 Bollywood Celebs Can Also Be Crowned As �Monologue Kings�
We are functioned to only think of Kartik Aaryan when we talk about monologues because let us say, we are fed this way. Whenever anyone asks us about the monologue that we fondly remember, in a fraction of a second, is that of Kartikâs monologue from Pyaar Ka Punchnama. His five-minute-long monologue, a rant against girlfriends is what made him a household home. Hereâs a snippet of the âfamousâ monologue for you:
âProblem yeh hai ki woh ladki hai, Aur kya problem hai,
Problem yeh hai ki main chahta hoon ki meri life mein koi problem hi naa ho,
Lekin agar meri life mein koi problem naa ho toh yeh uski life ki sabse badi problem hai!â
But, the style of delivering a perfect monologue is not just limited to Kartik as many other Bollywood celebs have also mastered the art of saying the perfect monologues.
Letâs take a look at the celebs who also deserve the crown of monologue kings and did a great job long before Kartikâs rant got famous:
1. Shah Rukh KhanIf you have seen Chak De India, you must have got goose bumps when Kabir Khan gave his iconic âSatar minute' speech. âSattar minute hai tumhaare paas...shaayad tumhaare zindagi ke sabse khaas sattar minute,â this whole monologue must have filled you with inspiration. It became an iconic piece of monologue that never fails to energize us whenever we hear it.
And in fact, SRK as Aman from Kal Ho Naa Ho took all the attention when he read out from Rohitâs blank diary. He spoke the whole dialogue in just one go and even made us shed our tears.
2. Shahid KapoorHaider undoubtedly, is one of the best performances given by Shahid Kapoor and he truly deserves the crown as his monologue from the film will rip you apart. The monologue shows Shahid's character highlighting Article 2 of the Geneva Convention as well as Article 370 (now-revoked). Just to add, itâs a six-page monologue. Through his powerful dialogue delivery, Shahid has also brought back the use of the word âchutzpahâ.
3. Amitabh BachchanBig Bâs monologue from the film Pink âNo Means Noâ is one landmark speech as it talked about the consent and it touched the hearts of the audience. These views are often mouthed by womenâs rights activists and feminist liberals but here thereâs a man whoâs explaining the concept of consent.
4. Naseeruddin ShahNaseeruddinâs moving speech about the plight of innocent common Indian citizens who die every day in trains, they get attacked by the government, and the monologue mouthed by Shah is still very impacting.
5. Sunny DeolA monologue from the 90s film starring Sunny Deol can never be forgotten as itâs written in the pages of history. The 'Tarik Par Tarik' dialogue was a big hit back then and is still an instant hit.
