RHTDMs Sequel Has Finally Been Scripted & We Are Already Screaming Dil Ko Tumse Pyar Hua

There are a few Bollywood films that didnât create much buzz when released but later gained cult status. And these movies are the ones that can be re-watched again and again without any disappointment.

Now, after almost two decades, the makers of Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein are working on its sequel. And we are already excited!

The film released in the year 2001 and starred Dia Mirza and R. Madhavan in the lead roles. From its music to the movieâs storyline the film made us fall in love with it. The makers of RHTDM had earlier also expressed their interest in working on a sequel and fans are already excited about it. According to a Mid-Day report, the makers now have a script already and have also gotten in touch with the actors to reprise their roles.

The report also quoted a source saying, âThe makers toyed with some concepts, on and off, over the years. Only now have they found a script that has appealed to everyone and seems a natural progression to the lives of Maddy and Reena [the characters essayed by Madhavan and Mirza respectively]. The script is in the final stage of development."

The story will now revolve around the protagonists' post-marital journey and how things turn out to be after a few years of their marriage. The story line will also attempt to find the lost love in their marriage and Dia Mirza recently hinted that a sequel is on itâs way during a live chat session.

She said, âWe are doing our best to make it happen, but we will only work together when we can give our best. There is something so special about Reena and Maddy and I think there were an innocence and honesty we shared in RHTDM that resonates so deeply with everyone even today. We wouldnât want to dilute that in any way.â Well, fans are excited to watch the film real soon and hopefully not on any OTT platform but at the theatres.
