Earlier, fans thought that this film is inspired by Kannada film which was released by the same name. The filmmaker of Kannada film Bell Bottom, Ravi Varma was angry and upset with the news but later it was found out that the film is not a remake. It is an original screenplay that will release soon.

The film is inspired by true events and is said to be set in the â80s. The film is based on the life of a heroic spy and whose story is forgotten and needs to be heard.

Earlier, there were speculations that Kriti Sanonâs younger sister Nupur Sanon will make her debut alongside Akshay Kumar. But, today the producers of the film officially announced that Vaani Kapoor has been signed for the film Bell Bottom.  

Also, this is the first time Akshay Kumar and Vaani Kapoor will share screen space and their fans are already excited.

Bell Bottom is an espionage thriller and is going to revolve the forgotten story of a heroic Indian spy. Akshay Kumar revealed his first look from the film in November 2019 and can be seen donning a retro look which also altogether sets a different mood for the film.            

Release Date 

The film is scheduled to release on April 2, 2021, and the shooting schedule will start in some time and the audience will get to see Akshay Kumar romancing Vaani Kapoor.
