PUBG Corp Is Said To Be In Talks With Airtel To Bring Back 'PUBG Mobile' To India

It's been a little over a month since PUBG Mobile was banned in India. There's been a lot of talks about the game making its return to India, but we're not sure if it's really happening. Along the same lines, there's a new report which says that PUBG Corp. is in talks with Airtel to bring back the game to India.

That's right, it looks like PUBG Corp. is in early talks with the telecom company Airtel to distribute PUBG Mobile in India. The news comes from the folks over at Entrackr, who said that a source informed about the same on the condition of anonymity.

“PUBG is in early conversation with Airtel for handing over distribution rights to the telecom giant. This desperation shows that PUBG has been trying hard to get back into the Indian market,” the report said.

This, by the way, isn't the first time we're hearing about PUBG Corp. trying to rope in a deal to bring its game back to India. There were multiple reports about the company being in talks with Jio for the same, although it seems like the conversation over there has slowed down.

So is the game really making a comeback? Well, we doubt if it's going to happen anytime soon. Even if Airtel and PUBG Corp. manages to strike a deal here, it's not going to be an easy task to get the ban revoked. We think there's a lot of work that needs to be done here in this regard, so let's just wait and see how it unfolds.
