I don't remember a single recent TV show or movie that did not trigger a lot of people to the extent of a 'boycott hashtag', I feel like it's a rite of passage now before any new release.

And, being consistent with the trend, after the trailer for the second season of Mirzapur released, #BoycottMirzapur2 started trending last night and it's still going on, with just a slight change.

It started off with people having a problem with multiple stars of the show showing support for CAA protests last year. 

First of all, protesting is a constitutional right and secondly, it's their opinion that they can share on their personal platform.

But, with the trend picking up, Mirzapur fans flooded the hashtag with opposing opinions and are so eagerly waiting for the new season to drop on October 23 on Prime Video, that they do not care about anything else.

People have waited long enough for their beloved show, a little hashtag isn't going to stop them from bingeing it the moment it releases.
