There's honestly nothing ‘desi’ people love more than seeing other ‘desi’ people in other countries do desi things and make India proud. It's really wholesome.

And, a little kid making an Indian dish for a cooking show and blowing the judges' minds is obviously going to make Indians proud.

13-year-old Dev, a contestant on Junior Masterchef Australia, brilliantly showcased his cooking skills by presenting Lamb Mughlai Curry, with saffron rice, raita, chutney and smoked chicken kebab to the judges.

The prompt for this particular round was 'Signature dish' and what's more signature than going back to your roots and absolutely blow it out of the park with a proper desi dish. He ended up winning, of course, no surprises there.

The judges raved about how it looked like authentic home-cooked food and there's no higher praise than that, to be honest.

Also, that adorable moment where the judges asked him to get his family pictures before tasting because they knew how much it would mean to him, it was so pure.

After getting raving reviews, he even had the other contestants wanting to taste the delicious-looking food.
