Together, we are all sailing in the same boat of tumultuous times owing to the COVID-19 global pandemic and the time to show compassion to our fellow human beings is now more than ever.

People from all walks of life are coming in support of those who are struggling financially, especially, local sellers who have been hit hard and are grappling to make ends meet due to a decrease in sales amid the pandemic.

Recently, Delhi’s ‘Baba ka Dhaba’ garnered countrywide attention due to a video on social media which went viral.

The elderly couple running the food joint got help and support from people across the places as their business took a backseat owing to the current situation.

The beautiful side of social media.

Now, the struggling roadside eatery has become the hottest new place to eat in Delhi. Isn’t that wonderful?

Similarly, Agra’s Kanji Vada uncle, Pune couple selling Matki Bhel, and many others are now seeing better days because of the power of social media.

Interestingly, the story of another man, 87-year-old Mumbai local, who is fondly called Joshi Uncle, has now gone viral on social media.

Joshi uncle sells hand-made bags for a mere Rs 40 to Rs 80. He buys pieces of cloth from sofa and curtain makers and stitches them into bags himself.

For the uninitiated, the 87-year-old man sits at Phadeke Road, Dombivli in Mumbai.
