For a team that began their campaign with a defeat, Mumbai Indians (MI) are looking really good in their Indian Premier League (IPL) title defence this year. The Rohit Sharma-led side is currently on top of the table, seemingly confident in a bid to grab their fifth IPL title.

While the team has clicked as a unit, their star all-rounder Hardik Pandya has had a pretty average tournament, so far. The right-hander has amassed just 224 runs in 11 matches. Though Mumbai, given their brilliant run, aren't really complaining, Hardik finally came to the party in their last game against Rajasthan Royals.

The 27-year-old played a whirlwind of a knock that saw him smashing two fours and seven sixes en route to a 21-ball unbeaten 60. His batting masterpiece was critical to Mumbai posting a competitive total of 195 runs. 

Even as Mumbai couldn't win the match, Hardik finding his form was undeniably a silver lining for them.

The Mumbai all-rounder's carnage at Abu Dhabi earned him plaudits from fans and pundits alike. But, apart from his batting, Hardik also drew serious reactions for taking a knee during Mumbai's innings to showcase his support for 'Black Lives Matter' campaign. 

The Indian cricketer further shared the photo on social media following which fans didn't really seem impressed.

Before this match Pandya had played 10 games in this IPL in which he batted poorly. He didn't do this gesture in those 10 games. He was waiting for one fine performance because Black lives matter only if Pandya plays well. What if he hadn't scored in this game too?
