A number of Bollywood celebrities have actually opened up to the idea of carrying man purses, and we think that it is a major move towards gender-neutral fashion.
It seems that Tusshar Kapoor is the latest to join the bandwagon.
Just recently, he was spotted at the Mumbai Airport, with a rather dope messenger bag.

But first, let’s have brief look at his outfit. Tusshar is dressed in a very normcore manner for the most part. He has a lightly washed pair of jeans, a pair of black Chelsea boots, and a grey sweatshirt.
What we really like about his outfit, is that firstly, he has accessorised, albeit rather conservatively. Secondly, we like the fact that he chose to go for a pair of unaltered, and a tattered pair of jeans.
That’s a dope style move if you ask us.

Now, let’s come to the piece de resistance of this ensemble, the man-purse or the messenger bag.
What we see here, is the Bengal GG Supreme messenger bag from Gucci, in beige, and boy, is it something special.

The bag, which is from Gucci’s 2017 Cruise collection, is made mostly using a specially made textile, the GG Supreme Canvas.
The motif that Alessandro Michele, the creative director at Gucci had gone for with the series was that of a forest. The scene depicts a streak of tigers, forestry.

The motif works rather well visually when we see it juxtaposed with the beige coloured Gucci jacquard canvas. The bag also has a few leather accents which add to the premium appeal of the bag.

Now, one would imagine that this being a bag from Gucci must be expensive. The fact that it is handcrafted in Italy, does add another premium dimension to it.
Well, the bag indeed is expensive, especially for someone who’s buying it in India.

The bag retails for $950, or just over Rs 70,000. When you add your regular custom duties, taxes, and other import charges, you’re looking at a price tag that’s almost twice the original bag.
If you were to import this in India, be prepared to shell out a minimum of Rs 1,50,000.

With that being said, we have to say that as far as fashion statements are concerned, that is one heck of a way to make one. Well done, Tusshar, well done indeed.
